Will my credit profile be impacted if I receive coronavirus support?
Whether your credit profile will be impacted will depend on the type of support that you receive.
If you opt for a Payment Deferral, your credit profile will not be impacted for as long as that Payment Deferral is in place. However, please be aware that when making credit decision in the future, lenders may consider a range of information. This may include information you provide or bank account information. In addition, if you are unable to make the repayments due under your finance agreement after the Payment Deferral has ended, that will be reported to the credit reference agencies in the normal manner.
Arrangements that include reduced payments, whether or not this follows a Payment Deferral, will also be reported to the Credit Reference Agencies in the usual way and that may impact your credit profile.
