Vehicle Handback/ReturnFeesWhen is it charged?
Invalid MOT fee£75 (direct cost passed on)If you return your vehicle or it's repossessed and don't have a valid MOT, you'll be charged.
V5 registration document replacement£235 (direct cost passed on)If you return your vehicle or its repossessed and you don't have the V5 registration document, you'll be charged.
Service history book replacement£25 (direct cost passed on)If you return your vehicle or it's repossessed and you don't have the service history book, you'll be charged.
Regular servicing£300A £300 fee is charged if you can't prove you've serviced the vehicle in line with the manufacturer's recommendations.
Vehicle manual replacement£25If you return your vehicle or it's repossessed and you don't have the vehicle manual, you'll be charged.
Master key replacementVariable (direct cost passed on)If you return your vehicle or its repossessed and the master key is missing, you'll be charged a fee that's calculated dependent on the manufacturer.
Spare key and security device replacementVariable (direct cost passed on)If you return your vehicle or its repossessed and the spare key/security device is missing, you'll be charged a fee that's calulcated dependent on the manufacturer and which part is missing.
EV charging cableVariable (Direct cost passed on)If you return your electrice vehicle or its repossessed and the charging cable is missing, you'll be charged a fee that's calculated dependent on the manufacturer.
PCP excess pence per mile chargePence per mile defined at point of sale. Set based on vehicle being purchased.If you hand the vehicle back at the end of your agreement (instead of paying the balloon payment to keep the vehicle), you'll be charged an excess mileage charge if you've exceeded the total mileage set out in your agreement (annual miles/annum). This is charged based on the pence per mile set out in your contractual documentation.
Personalised plateAt DVLA costIf you hand your vehicle back without removing your personalised plate, you'll have to pay for the DVLA to remove the cherished plate.
Aborting/rescheduling voluntary termination£50 + VATIf you've decided to voluntary terminate your agreement and booked a collection for us to recover the vehicle but cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled collection, you'll be charged for aborting at late notice.
Aborting/rescheduling recovery (PCP only)£50 + VATIf you've booked a collection for us to recover the vehicle but cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled collection, you'll be charged for aborting at late notice.
PCP hand back fee£180If you decide to return the vehicle to us at the end of your PCP agreement, instead of paying the balloon payment to keep the vehicle, we'll arrange collection and charge you the handback fee.

Rep visit feeVariable (direct cost passed on)If you don't respond to contact attempts, we may instruct a collections agent visit using a third party, the costs incurred will be passed on to you.
Wear and tear feesVaribale (direct cost passed on)Our recovery agent will inspect the vehicle on the date of collection and will complete a report which will be shared with you. If you return your vehicle and the condition is beyond what is deemed to be ‘fair wear and tear’ by BVRLA standards, a fee will be charged.
Legal charges feeVariable (direct cost passed on)If your case is determined in court, then the charge of any solicitor fees associated with your case will be passed on to you.
